This Just In: Platine bakery is now open in Culver City _ Platine Sweets & Savories is now open in Culver City. Chef and founder Jamie Cantor has set up a retail space in her commercial kitchen on Washington Boulevard, where the French Laundry alum has been baking cookies (her signature ones are oatmeal cookies with Zante currants, granola, chocolate chips and walnuts), cream puffs, tiny cheesecakes, cakelettes (mini cupcakes), brownies, madeleines (vanilla brown butter, sweet cornmeal, honey almond) and lemon pieters.
